Adigasa Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities, has organized a free medical screening for some communities in Navrongo in the Upper East Region.

The exercise, which took place on Saturday, 26th April 2025, was aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the less privileged in these communities especially women and the aged.

The citizens were screened and treated for illnesses such as hypertension, Diabetes and malaria.

Others also had free screening for cholesterol and dental services.

Addressing the media after the exercise, the Executive Director of the Adigasa Foundation, Mr. Carl Asagida said the medical screening was a follow-up event to a recent donation the organization made to some schools in these communities as part of measures by the foundation to help bridge the gap in social inequality through sustainable development initiatives and also promote healthy leaving.

He appealed to other organizations to emulate their gesture.

Mr. Asagida thanked the medical team from the Navrongo Medical Centre for partnering the foundation to organize the exercise in these communities.

Beneficiaries were also given free medicines to treat various diseases.
