Day 8 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations saw Morocco join the growing list of countries qualified for the next round of the competition, following a 1-0 defeat of Ivory Coast. The Ivorians would have to wait till the final set of Group D games to book their own knockout phase ticket, as would Tunisia and Mali (who drew 1-1) of Group E. South Africa, who got their first points off neighbors Namibia in Cairo, face the same fate.
