Ghanaian president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be addressing the 74th United Nations (UN) General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York, US tonight.
President Akufo-Addo’s address is expected to touch on governance, democracy, climate change and world peace. He is also expected to talk about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as co-Chair of the UN Eminent Group of Advocates for the SDGs.
The Ghanaian leader is scheduled to address the world at at 20.30 GMT (8.30p.m.)
This year’s UN General Assembly opened on September 17, 2019.
Some of the discussions focus on the elimination of nuclear weapons, climate issues, politics and development financing.
