Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has openly declared his strong support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong, describing him as the right person to steer the New Patriotic Party (NPP) forward.

Dr. Acheampong, a former Minister of Agriculture and current MP for Abetifi, was hailed by Appiah-Kubi as a “symbol of victory” who embodies the qualities needed to lead the party into a new era.

Speaking to the media in a video circulating on Sunday, May 25, Appiah-Kubi emphasized the urgency for the NPP to rally behind a dynamic and capable leader who can rejuvenate the party’s fortunes and secure future electoral success.

“We need to put forward a strong and visionary candidate who can restore the NPP’s strength, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is positioning himself for that responsibility,” he stated.

He went on to praise Acheampong’s intellect and business acumen, suggesting that his blend of knowledge and entrepreneurial success makes him an outstanding candidate.

“If we want someone with sharp intellect, Bryan fits the bill. If we’re looking for a proven entrepreneur, he’s that too. With him, we get the best of both worlds,” Appiah-Kubi said.

Dr. Acheampong, who represents the people of Abetifi in Parliament, has recently gained attention as a potential contender for the party’s flagbearer position.
