Ghana topflight side Ashantigold will host Akonangui FC from Equatorial Guinea on Saturday, August 24, 2019.
The tier-two winners of the NC Special Cup Competition went through horrible times in Equatorial Guinea in the first leg of the 2019-2020 CAF Confederations Cup.
CAF has confirmed that the second leg which will be played in Ghana is slated next weekend at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium at 3pm.
The Miners will go into the match full of confidence after a brilliant and gallant display in Equatorial Guinea, despite the torrid treatment metered out to them.
The Yellow and Blacks are participating in the Total CAF Confederations Cup for the first time in the club’s history and are quite optimistic of making it to the next round when they host their opponents for the second leg.
The Obuasi Lads will resume training today at the Ofori Stadium.
