The medical team of Atletico Madrid will assess the injury of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey after he was forced off in the second half of the 2-2 draw with Juventus on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian international went for a challenge in the 76th minute and lied on the Metropolitano turf in pain before he was helped off the pitch to be treated.
He could not continue as Hector Herrera was brought on.
The Atletico Madrid doctors will work on Partey today and possibly take a scan to know the extent of the injury.
Partey has been the heartbeat of the Atletico team this season pulling the strings from midfield and his possible absence will be a big source of worry for manager Diego Simeone.
