Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the newly sworn-in Minister for Finance, has vowed to provide steadfast support to President John Dramani Mahama, pledging to help position him as the most outstanding president in Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
Dr. Forson made this commitment on January 22 during the swearing-in ceremony for newly approved ministerial appointees at the Jubilee House.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, he expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them and assured the President of their collective resolve to excel in their respective roles.
“I want to assure you that we will work in a way to make you the best president in the Fourth Republic of Ghana,” he stated, highlighting their dedication to advancing the President’s vision for the country.
The event officially inaugurated the roles of six ministers whose appointments had been approved by Parliament on January 21 after rigorous vetting by the Appointments Committee. The appointees are:
Dr. Dominic Ayine: Attorney General and Minister of Justice
John Jinapor: Minister for Energy and Green Transition
Haruna Iddrisu: Minister for Education
Eric Opoku: Minister for Food and Agriculture
Governs Kwame Agbodza: Minister for Roads and Highways
During the ceremony, President Mahama urged the ministers to remain focused on fulfilling their mandates, emphasizing that Ghanaians expect significant progress across all key sectors.
Dr. Forson echoed this commitment, affirming their shared determination to leave a lasting impact. “We are committed to elevating this administration’s legacy and making a meaningful difference in Ghana’s development,” he declared.
