Swansea City deputy captain Andre Ayew has been named in the Championship team of the week by football stats experts WhoScored.
The Ghanaian skipper was on the scoresheet as the Swans returned to Championship action with an emphatic 3-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
Ayew provided an assist to Rhian Brewster to score the opener which took his tally to five goals in 12 appearances since joining the Swans on loan from Liverpool of which the latter later notched his first-half brace before Ayew cemented his position as the club’s topscorer this season by registering his 15th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
The victory ensured that Steve Cooper’s side moved to within one point of the play-off places with eight games remaining.
