‘Breaking the 8’: Atiwa East MP spearheads training for NPP executives ahead of 2024 campaign


New Patriotic Party MP for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region Abena Osei-Asare has rolled out a programme aimed at training and re-orienting party executives on the ideals of the governing party.

Polling station executives, and electoral area coordinators turned up in their numbers to participate in the two-day programme last weekend. Top party officials including the Minister of State for Local Government and Rural Decentralization Osei Bonsu Amoah were part of the resource persons.

“The objective of the training was to refresh members on the party’s constitution and build their capacity to execute their mandate in our various communities to help win both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections convincingly to break the 8”, Osei-Asare said in a Facebook post.

Osei-Asare reiterated her commitment to resourcing the rank and file of the party in the constituency as the party seeks to break Ghana’s eight-year political jinx. She indicated that such training programmes would be held as the party pursues this agenda.

Osei-Asare who doubles as a Deputy Minister of Finance also thanked Hon. O.B. Amoah for his immense contribution for the project.

“You really are an asset to the party and the nation”, she said.
