Confirmed: CK Akonnor named new Black Stars assistant coach

Coach C.K Akonnor has been confirmed as the new assistant coach for the Black Stars.

The former Asante Kotoko coach will assist Kwesi Appiah, replacing Tanko Ibrahim who is in charge of Ghana’s Olympic team.

Akonnor will now join hands with Appiah and the rest of the technical handlers of the Black Stars during the upcoming FIFA match days.

The former Ashantigold and Hearts of Oak coach will be at the bench of the Stars as the assistant for the first time when Ghana engage South Africa and Sao Tome & Principe in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
