Black Stars marksman Jordan Ayew has earned the praise of Crystal Palace fans after scoring record-breaking goal on Saturday.

The high-flying attacker notched his ninth league goal for the Eagles in their 2-0 win over Bourne mouth over the weekend.

Ayew’s goal meant he surpassed Ghana legend Tony Yeboah’s long standing goal scoring record in the English Premier League who during his days at Leeds United was a beast in front of goal.

The 28-year-old has then been praised by the club fans who finds the Ghanaian’s achievement to be a remarkable feat, despite his struggle for form in his early years in the country.

Ayew, son of legendary African footballer, Abedi Ayew Pele now has 25 goals to former record holder Tony Yeboah’s 24 and could further widen the gap in subsequent years to come.
