The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has assured the public that it will have a complete set of parliamentary results by 8 pm on December 7, citing improvements in its collation system.
Speaking to Citi News, the party’s Deputy General Secretary, Haruna Mohammed, stated that the NPP has also streamlined its process for collating presidential results, enabling quicker outcomes compared to previous elections.
“We have always improved our collation system and we have always added features and removed some as well. We have done a test run which has given us a shorter time compared to the last elections, and I can assure you that we have achieved significant improvements in our system of collation,” Mohammed revealed.
He added, “We did a dry run on Saturday, and I believe that by the time the polls close at 5 pm, by 8 pm, we should be able to know who has the majority.”
Additionally, Mohammed emphasized that the party is fully prepared for the polls, having conducted a series of test runs to refine its Election Day operations.
“We need to also try as much as possible to make sure that we put all our final touches to this particular campaign,” he said. “We also need to make sure that our agents and other human resources that we need are set. For us as a party, we have put all these things together. We have done a test run of several other systems that we intend to use in this particular election.”
The NPP remains confident that its enhanced strategies and preparations will ensure a smooth and efficient collation process on Election Day.
