Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati have signed winger Joseph-Claude Agyeman Gyau from German outfit MSV Duisburg.
Gyau, 26, featured for clubs including Hoffenheim as well as Dortmund and he is departing Germany after nine years to join the Orange and Blue on a free transfer.
He is expected to help FC Cincinnati to maintain their topflight status after entering the MLS this year through the extension franchise.
Gyau is the grandson of Ghana legend Joseph Agyemang Gyau (Nana Agyeman Gyau) who won two Africa Cup trophies with the Black Stars in 1963 and 1965.
