FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup: Black Princesses hopes hanging by a thread after Japan defeat

0

Ghana’s Black Princesses hopes of making it out of the 2022 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup group stages hanging by a hair’s breadth after suffering defeat to Japan.

The Ghanaians went into the game needing all three points following a 3-0 loss to the United States of America to have a chance of making the knockout stages of the competition.

Unfortunately, two penalties from Maika Hamano in the second half got the job done for the Asians who saw off the challenge from the Ghana team to qualify for the knockout stages.

Ghana needs a win from Netherlands against the USA to at least stand a chance to make it out of the group with their destiny in the hands of Netherlands and Japan.

Should the Netherlands beat USA, Ghana will still pray for another defeat for the Americans against Japan to also beat the Dutch to have a small chance.
