Firefighters poured water on to a big fire at Kantamanto market which is a popular business center in Ghana’s capital Accra.

At least three fire trucks had been sent to the site shortly after 10:30 pm on Tuesday when the blaze erupted, witnesses say.

Ambulance crews had also rushed to the scene, though no injuries had been reported.

The fire has so far destroyed several properties including clothes, according to a report by the CNR.

It remains unclear what started the fire which occurred barely 24 hours after a similar incident happened in another market at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
