Firefighters are battling a huge blaze that broke out in parts of the popular Dome Market in Accra Thursday dawn.
Parts of the market which had been partially closed to brisk business collapsed and were completely burned.
It still remains unclear what caused the fire which comes hours after 10 luxury vehicles were badly damaged by fire in Kumasi, Ghana’s second-largest city.
Fire tenders were being deployed to the market as there are fears many properties and lives may be in jeopardy.
