Kwaku Ohene Djan, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been released by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) after being held for several days in connection with the ongoing NSA scandal.

Authorities detained Mr. Djan as part of an extensive investigation into alleged financial mismanagement and misconduct at the NSA. His arrest was linked to efforts by investigators to uncover irregularities that have raised public concern in recent months.

The NSA scandal, which has been under scrutiny for a significant period, involves allegations of fraudulent activities, financial misappropriation, and systemic loopholes that have reportedly led to substantial losses to the state. Several high-profile individuals, including former and current officials, have been implicated in the case.

Following his release on Monday, February 24, the NIB confirmed that Mr. Djan remains a person of interest and may be recalled for further questioning if necessary.

His legal representatives have assured that he is fully prepared to cooperate with investigators to ensure due process is followed.
