Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has urged the government to accelerate efforts to complete the Accra Sempe Primary School project. The construction, which stalled nearly eight years ago after the previous government left office, has remained unfinished despite assurances from Greater Accra Regional Minister Titus Glover, who had promised to take responsibility for the project’s completion. However, no work has resumed.
During the commissioning of the Jamestown Fishing Harbour, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II highlighted the importance of completing not only the school project but other halted initiatives in the region.
“I humbly call on the government to expedite the completion of the Sempe School project and other initiatives in this region to lift our people and restore pride of our coastal towns,” he stated. “Let us ignore the little things that divide us and embrace what unites us. Let us reject the urge to self-sabotage and drive action towards practical development.”
The Ga Mantse also emphasized the need for peace and unity as the country approaches the December elections, saying, “As we prepare for the December elections, let us choose peace over division. Let us uphold our democracy, for it is the foundation of our progress. This is our time to build the unity of the Ga state at all costs to yield prosperity and a peaceful future for us and our children.”
