Dutch youngster of Ghanaian descent Cody Gakpo is excited after extending his contract with Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven.
Gakpo’s initial contract with the Farmers was due to expire on June 30, 2022 but signed a fresh one-year deal.
The 19-year-old winger was glad with the new deal and stressed that it was not hard for him to commit to the club.
“It was not such a difficult choice for me to extend,” Gakpo stated after signing his deal on Thursday night.
“I am very happy that I have again been able to put my signature under a PSV contract. As a boy from Eindhoven, is of course a dream come true to reach the first team.”
Gakpo joined the PSV junior ranks at the age of seven and has progressed through all the age groups before making it into the senior team.
He has scored thrice and provided two assists in 13 games in all competitions for PSV so far this season.
