Spineless Ghana’s Black Stars beat Non-Football country Nicaragua in an international friendly game in Spain on Tuesday evening.
The Black Stars pipped The Blue and White in their second Pre-World game against the minnows in Spain by a solitary deflected goal.
Ghana started as the better team as expected and controlled the game in opening exchanges of the encounter against the North American side.
Though Ghana had greater share of possession, they failed to create good goal scoring chances in the early stages of the low tempo match against the Blue and Whites.
Portuguese Premeira Liga side Sporting CP Lisbon youngster Issahaku Abdul Fatawu found the back of the net to put Ghana in front after his deflected shoot found it way into the back of the net later in the first half.
Ghana’s build-up play was slow and always allowed the opponents to regroup in defense whenever they attacked from all corners which made it very difficult to break them down.
AFC Ajax Amsterdam star scored later on in the game only for his goal to be disallowed after a lobbing pass from Inaki Williams.
Ghana failed to add to their first half goal against the minnows and settled with a 1-0 win with an appalling display.
Before the World Cup starts in November, Ghana will take on Switzerland in before the start of the mundial.
Despite the abysmal performance against Brazil, Otto Addo and his boys failed to convince Ghanaians before they take on Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea at the tournament two months time.
