Passport offices across Ghana will resume operations effective Monday, May 18, 2020, a statement from the country’s Foreign Ministry has announced.

The Ministry in March suspended passport services at all application centers countrywide following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

The move was part of efforts to prevent the spread of the virus after the country’s President Akufo-Addo announced among other measures, a ban on public gatherings.

But the Ministry has said in a statement on Thursday that all Passport Application Centres (PAC) will be opened to the public on the said date [Monday,18th May 2020].

“The online application portal will be open for booking of appointments from Wednesday, 20th May 2020,” the statement further added.

The Ministry also outlined a number of safety protocols to contain the spread of the virus at these centers urging the public to follow same.

It said all the safety protocols will strictly be enforced.
