GPL Week 5: All the results and highlights


The Ghana Premier League entered week five on Saturday with Ashantigold playing host to giant killers Berekum Chelsea.

The Miners lost their unbeaten run after four games into the season by a lone goal to Chelsea at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium in the week five opener.

In Dansoman, Hearts of Oak battled from a goal down to beat a resolute Liberty Professionals side by 2-1 scoreline.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs by 2-0 at the empty Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Aduana Stars continued with their fine start to the season and bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Legon Cities FC.

Elsewhere in Dawu, Dreams FC pipped Medeama SC by a lone goal to end their unbeaten start to the season.

Karela United shared the spoils with Kumasi-based King Faisal with a 1-1 drawn game in Tarkwa.

Accra Great Olympics secured their first away point in Elmina against Sharks while Inter Allies crawled back to secure a point against WAFA at home.

Bechem United and XI Wonders will play tomorrow at 3pm at the Nana Gyeabour Park in Bechem.
