Gun-wielding men believed to be state security operatives have arrested four Indian business men in Ghana.

The foreigners have been named as Kamesh Kathiriya, Chief Executive Officer of a mining firm in Kumasi. The others are Nickel, Gotham and Giga.

Two Ghanaians, Charles Osei and Salifu Musa were also arrested in the Wednesday raid at Ahodwo, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

It is not immediately known what triggered the incident but family members say they are yet to ascertain the whereabouts of their relatives.

Accra-based Joy FM reported that the invaders took away two duffle bags full of money, 13 mobile phones, gold nuggets and other gadgets belonging to the captives.

The Ashanti Regional Security detail have also confirmed the development to DailyMailGh.com but would not give any further details on record.

Close sources also say the arrested men, who are gold dealers are en route to the national security secretariat in the national capital, Accra for interrogation.

Family members were also on their way to Accra at the time of filing this report.

“They identified themselves as national security and they began to search the house. They took a bag load of cash and our phones and sped off. We have reported the matter to the police but we are pleading with authorities to help us find my husband”, teary-eyed Aakour Janet, wife of one of the Ghanaian suspects told DailyMailGh.com.
