Accra Hearts of Oak recorderd an impressive 4 – 0 victory over neighbours Accra Great Olympics on Wednesday night.

The former continental club masters whipped their opponents by 4-0 to record their biggest win in the season so far.

The home team started the game on a high note pushing the Dade Boys back on their heels in the opening minutes of the match.

Striker Joseph Esso gave the host the lead on the 15th minutes mark when he reacted the quickest after the away team goalkeeper parried a cross from the right hand side into the path of the mobile attacker who made no mistake in slotting the ball home to make it 1-0.

Olympics came into the game with some procession of the ball around the middle of the pitch but failed to make any serious incursions upfront and the first half ended 1-0 to the host.

The screws were turned on by the Rainbow Boys in the second half of the match.

Midfielder Benjamin Afutu headed home the second on the night for the host and pounced on a loose ball few minutes later to score his second goal of the match to make it 3-0 and put the game beyond the away team.

Daniel Afriyie Barnie inside added on time popped up in the goal area to latch onto Afutu’s header which was initially saved by the visitors goalkeeper to slot home his first league goal for Hearts and the fourth for the Phobians on the night to ensure a total humiliation of their neighbors.

Hearts of Oak won the game 4-0 to silence their neighbors Olympics in the Accra Derby to gain the bragging rights and the all important three points to move sixth on the league log.
