Ghanaian rapper and singer King Paluta emerged as one of the big winners at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), claiming the Most Popular Song of the Year award with his inspirational hit Aseda.

The emotional and soul-stirring track, released in 2024, resonated deeply with audiences for its message of gratitude and its rich blend of lyrical depth and traditional instrumentation. Aseda stood out among tough competition, edging out hits such as Asylum by OlivetheBoy, Lomo Lomo by KiDi ft. Black Sherif, Puul by Lasmid, January 9 by Black Sherif, Paris by King Promise, Defe Defe by Team Eternity, and Jejereje by Stonebwoy.

In addition to winning the night’s most talked-about song, King Paluta also walked away with the Highlife Song of the Year and Producer of the Year awards—further proof of his versatility and musical craftsmanship.

He was also a strong contender for Artiste of the Year, competing against industry heavyweights including Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke, Team Eternity Ghana, and Joe Mettle.

Aseda has earned widespread acclaim for its heartfelt message and production quality, solidifying King Paluta’s place among Ghana’s top music talents.
