King Promise named Artiste-of-the-Year at 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards

Afrobeats star King Promise stole the spotlight at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), taking home the prestigious Artiste of the Year award.

The glamorous ceremony took place on Saturday, May 10, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre. The night was packed with powerful performances, glowing tributes to Ghanaian music legends, and fierce competition among top acts.

King Promise beat out strong contenders including Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Kwaku Smoke, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, and gospel group Team Eternity to win the night’s top prize.

Other notable winners included Beeztrom Kotm, who was named Best New Artiste of the Year, and Stonebwoy, who claimed the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award.
