KNUST management embarking on “persecution spree” – Katanga Alumni write to Education Minister

Members of the University Hall Alumni of the KNUST are seeking the intervention of the Education Minister as they mount a campaign to free students of the Hall who are currently behind bars.

The students were arrested in connection with the recent violence on campus, which left properties destroyed and injured others.

But the Katanga Alumni in its petition drew the Minister’s attention to the development accusing management and the police of persecuting innocent students.

The leadership wants top officials of the University including the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Students, to be called to order to avert what it describes as a looming academic crisis.
