Kotoko sack five players

Ghana giants Asante Kotoko have sacked five senior players with immediate effect.

The five failed to pass new coach Kjetil Zachariassen’s assessment.

The record winners of Ghana’s elite club football competition have made numerous signings this summer already in preparation for the CAF Champions League campaign which starts in August this year.

According to sources, management of the Kumasi-based side have issued out released letters to strikers Obed Owusu and Zabo Teguy and three midfielders Omar Bashiru, Stephen Nyarko, Daniel Nii Adjei.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Dailymailgh.com can confirm that the Kumasi-based club have also terminated the contract of newly signed Ivorian striker Adingra Bidodane Moussa who joined the club from Lobi Stars from Nigeria.

Kotoko have already begun intensive training ahead of the Africa Club competition next month.
