Asante Kotoko midfielder Arnold Didi Sanchez lost his mother on Monday, the club announced.
The Porcupine Warriors are commiserating with their Ivorian player and his family.
“Everyone at Asante Kotoko SC has been saddened to hear the sudden passing of Didi Alexis Arnold’s mother, Dable Léonine Angelina,” the Kumasi-based club tweeted.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Alexis and his family at this trying time,” the club added.
Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen and the player’s manager have already paid a visit to the family house to share in their grief.
Reports reaching Dailymailgh.com indicate the player will be given sometime off to visit his family in neighbouring Ivory Coast.
