Death toll in the Kumasi floods jumps to two with a nine-year-old being the latest victim.
The deceased, only identified as Shamziya got drowned at Tafo-Zongo while playing with her peers in the heavy rains.
National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) officials had recovered her lifeless body Tuesday and has since been deposited at the morgue.
The latest development comes after a taxi driver identified as Appiah Agyei got drowned in the Pelele River at Asawasi.
His body is yet to be recovered.
Heavy rains swept through several communities in the Ashanti Regional capital leaving properties destroyed and victims displaced.
Affected communities include Dichemso, Asafo, Krofrom and other adjoining districts in the region.
Weather officials earlier this week had warned of heavy rains amidst thunderstorms.
