Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has urged that the questioning of Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South and Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, be made public.
This follows Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s claims that two aircraft which recently landed at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) were involved in drug trafficking and money laundering activities—allegations that have since drawn widespread attention and concern.
Appearing on Face to Face on Channel One TV on Tuesday, April 8, Kwakye Ofosu highlighted the importance of openness in handling such serious claims. He emphasized that making the interrogation accessible to the public would help ensure transparency and build trust.
“I have requested that his interrogation or the questions that they will pose to him should be recorded and released to the public… For purposes of public interests and transparency they can show it,” he said.
His remarks come as national security agencies continue to describe the MP’s allegations as baseless. However, public interest in the matter remains high.
Kwakye Ofosu believes that sharing the interrogation process with the public could help bring clarity to the issue and hold those involved accountable, especially in light of what he referred to as the “suspicious flights.”
