President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to officially launch the Adwumawura programme today, Monday, April 28, 2025, in the Ashanti Region.
This initiative, a major pledge made by the government, aims to support the establishment of at least 10,000 new businesses every year, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment.
According to the government, the programme forms part of its 120-day social contract and is designed to help tackle the country’s unemployment challenges.
Later in the week, President Mahama will also inaugurate two additional initiatives: the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, known as Mahama Cares, and the National Apprenticeship Programme.
