Opinion: NPP dare not re-enact Ayawaso West skirmishes to intimidate voters

“By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous” – (Hebrews 11:4 NASB)

It is one thing to have a President and Vice President who are both full of lies and spontaneously spew and peddle lies and falsehoods without even batting their eyelids such that whenever you encounter them and they exchange greetings with you, you are well-advised to crosscurrent with the time on your smart-phone or wristwatch to verify whether it is indeed morning time after they say good morning to you.

As if a lying President and Vice President was not enough, what is even worse is the fact that they have a legion of New Patriotic Party (NPP) government appointees and party supporters who are unable to distinguish for themselves between what is true and real, from their web of lies and propaganda narratives.

You cannot help wondering whether they all suffer from a contagious epidemic of paranoia and deceit or that they are living in the “alternative facts realm” of “cuckoo land” whenever they are untruthful and living the lie.

“Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, third time is enemy action” – (Ian Fleming)

In the heat of the dastardly acts that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in keeping to his “all die be die doctrine” unleashed using his NPP vigilantes inserted into National Security on unsuspecting voters during the Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-elections, you may be tempted to forgive Bryan Acheampong, the then Minister of State for National Security and incumbent NPP MP for Abetifi Constituency.

Maybe he (Bryan) truly believed that Ghanaians were gullible and somehow believed the lie peddled that the action of NPP goons led by DSP Samuel Azugu and Bright Akomeah (aka Double) was indeed in response to genuine intelligence reports.

Bryan Acheampong and his likes in the NPP should come again and continue deluding themselves into thinking that they can re-enact their Ayawaso West Wuogon violence on 7th December in the Volta and Oti regions using the massive military deployment to intimidate, torment and scare way voters in a desperate attempt to reduce voter turn-out as they did at Ayawaso West Wuogon, and by so doing somehow suppress and reduce the overall vote tally for John Dramani Mahama presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

My advice to our fellow Ghanaians who are part of the Military deployment is that they will be in for a pleasant surprise should they engage in any dastardly acts because the ancestral gods and deities of the Volta and Oti regions are on standby to ruthlessly deal with them spiritually and physically.
