Ghanaian international Gideon Mensah says current Black Stars players are ready to accept born abroad and are ready to play for the Black Stars.

The youngster poured cold water on reports that current players are feeling uneasy amid large number of foreign-born players seeking to switch allegiance to play for Ghana.

The media has reported that there is growing fear and disquiet within the current crop of players over the recent development which has attracted so many different opinions in the Country.

In an interview with Starr Sports ,the former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate insisted that the most important thing is to push Ghana to the top and if these guys can contribute their quota, there are no issues.

“For us the players, at some point we were also not in the Black Stars and we got the chance to play for the Black Stars”

“We are talking about Ghana, we don’t own Ghana because it is for the people and so the main objective is what we have to do to make the people happy so if they are coming and we are going to win the world cup or help improve our games and win games, we are all for it”, Gideon Mensah told Starr Sports.

“The best thing I can do for myself is to work very hard and be in the team for all of us to contribute our quota to make history in Qatar”, he added.

Ghana were paired in group H and will face Portugal , South Korea and Uruguay at the world cup in Qatar in November this year.
