Etoile du Sahel assistant coach Mhamdi Rafik will lead the team on Friday when they play against Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko in the second leg of the CAF Champions league game at the Stade Olympique de Sousse.
The Star of the Sahara sacked Faouzi Benzarti earlier this week following the club’s poor form which saw them being eliminated from the Arab Championship.
Aside Faouzi being sacked, several top people in the club administration have also quit with Faycal Khelifa taking over as the board head of the football section.
Kotoko defeated Etoile 2-0 in Kumasi and could capitalise on the impasse within the team to complete a double over them.
