Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers have terminated the contract of Ghanaian striker Joe Dodoo.

Dailymailgh.com exclusively revealed last week that the 24-year-old had written to the club’s top hierarchy to have his contract canceled after being demoted to the developmental team by manager Steve Gerrard.

Dodoo, 24, had a meeting with the club officials on Monday night and his contract which had one year left has been effectively terminated.

He joined Rangers from EPL outfit Leicester City in the summer of 2016 but failed to make any impression.

Dodoo played for Blackpool in the English League One last season where he made 18 appearances scoring twice and providing two assists.
