Algeria scored the opener through a William Troost-Ekong own goal in the 40th minute before Judd Odion Ighalo restored parity with a penalty in the 72nd minute.

With the game destined for extra time, Manchester City star Riyadh Mahrez curled a free kick to the far right corner of the net as the Desert Foxes reached the finals of the AFCON for the first time since 1990.
