South Africa started their CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Tanzania in Egypt. The match was close, but one moment of quality made the difference.

Shakeel April scored the only goal of the game in the first half. His well-taken strike gave South Africa the lead, and they managed to hold on until the final whistle.

Tanzania pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but South Africa stayed strong in defence and protected their lead. The win gives South Africa an early boost in the tournament and puts them in a good position for the next round.

Shakeel April’s goal may prove to be very important as the team looks ahead to their upcoming games.
