Spanish-born Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams has arrived in Ghana amidst report of a crucial meeting with the Ghana Football Association for a possible nationality switch.

The prolific striker who plys his trade in the Spainish La Liga arrived safely in Ghana on Monday evening as he’s expected to hold talks with Ghana FA to switch his nationality to from Spain to play for Ghana.

Inaki has always been a top priority and a long term target for the national team and is on the verge of switching nationality to play for the Black Stars team even before the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Though he rejected the idea of playing for Ghana in the past, nonetheless, the Ghana Football Association leaders and coach Otto Addo has almost managed to lure the player to change his mind and play for his parent country.

After Spain snubbed him, the player looks certain to don the famous Black Stars jersey and play for the four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners.

The 27-year-old played all 38 League games in the 2021-22 Spanish La Liga for Athletic Bilbao and scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists.
