Stonebwoy continues to cement his legacy in Ghanaian music, winning Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA)—his tenth consecutive win in this category.
His latest victory adds to a remarkable streak, with previous wins recorded in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. This milestone solidifies his position as a dominant force in the genre.
In addition to the top Reggae/Dancehall honour, Stonebwoy took home awards for Best Music Video with his hit song Jejereje and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year. He was also in contention for the coveted Artiste of the Year award.
He triumphed over fellow heavyweights including Samini, Ras Kuuku, Jupitar, Epixode, and Rocky Dawuni. Stonebwoy’s continued dominance is credited to his consistent delivery of impactful songs like Psalm 23, Ekelebe, Manodzi, and Jejereje, as well as his global presence and notable collaborations.
During his acceptance speech, the Ekelebe hitmaker expressed heartfelt appreciation to his fans and the award organizers. He also used the moment to call for greater recognition of artists who have shown endurance and consistent excellence in the industry.
“This should be my tenth Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, and it’s been back-to-back-to-back,” he said. “I didn’t come tonight to celebrate success; I came to remind everyone to respect longevity. Consistency in the game shouldn’t just be celebrated with trophies—it should earn respect.”
