The Volta Region Boxing Federation (VRBF) has promised the people of the region a boxing competition later in November.

“The Boxing Federation in Volta region is dear to my heart and I have together with my team planned to make the people happy before the end of this month,” the president of the association, Mr. Foster Enam Dagadu revealed to Dailymailgh.com in an interview.

According to the Federation’s president, his aim is to make the sport very popular in the region to fulfill his promise to the people.

“I promised my people that I would bring more boxing events to the region and I am elated to bring this year’s program which is a “Night of War and Pride” to ignite the interest lost in the region”, he stated.

Also, Mr Foster said he believes this year’s Nordu Festival presents a perfect opportunity to deliver his promise to the people.

“We have invited Braimah Kamoko who’s affectionately called Bukom Banku to grace the occasion as the guest of honour.”

The Nordu festival is celebrated in the month of November and the Federation of the Volta Region boxing has invited boxers from Togo and Nigeria to contest their Ghanaian counterparts for glory on 30 November 2019.

There will be eight separate bouts on the day to entertain the guests and the people in the Ave Traditional Area. The event will take place in the Ho Municipality in a town called Ave in the Volta region on 30 November, 2019.
