The National Democratic Congress (NDC) director of communication Sammy Gyamfi has served notice to the security agencies that he will not be intimidated following his arrest on Monday.

He was picked up at the premises of UTV, a subsidiary of the Despite Group of Companies at Abeka Junction in Accra, earlier today Monday, January 27, 2020.

Gyamfi was later taken to the CID headquarters in the nation’s capital Accra and was granted bail hours after his arrest. He has been cautioned, according to a police statement.

”Some of us cannot be cowed by these things. And I want to assure you that this will not intimidate me,” Gyamfi declared in an address to NDC supporters after his arrest.

Gyamfi was arrested over his alleged involvement in forgery and attempts to spread false information to cause fear and panic in the country of kidnapping and causing unlawful damage.

Gyamfi is to report on Monday at 2pm for further investigation.

Some of the supporters described the development as disappointing and vindictiveness on the part of the ruling New Patriotic Party government.
