Residents of Mempeasem in Bole town were left in shock after the lifeless body of a young man, believed to be in his early twenties, was discovered under disturbing circumstances. His hands and legs were tied, and his body was dumped in a large rubbish container near a public toilet.

The gruesome discovery was made on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Malik Gazari, a correspondent for Channel One News, reported that Abu Hassan, the Assemblymember for the Mempeasem electoral area, confirmed the incident.

Mr. Hassan expressed deep concern over the frequency of such killings in the area, revealing that this was the eighth time a similar case had been reported.

“This marks the eighth time such a killing has been reported in the area,” he stated.

He further noted that the case has been reported to the police, and investigations are already underway.

“The body has been deposited at the Bole Hospital morgue as investigations commence,” Mr. Hassan added.

Residents are calling on authorities to intensify security measures in the area to prevent further incidents and ensure justice for the victims.
