Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has declared Ghana’s readiness and preparedness for the threat posed by north African side Tunisia ahead of Monday night encounter.

“The journey has not been easy in the beginning because every team started with his best players and we are hoping to qualify to every stage,” Appiah said at a pre-game conference.

“Tunisia is not an easy side so we are preparing very well to face them on Monday because Ghana wants to progress to the next stage of the competition,” Appiah stated.

“Jonathan Mensah would be assessed during training today and Thomas Agyepong too will continue his recovery with the physical trainer… he will join after he is fully fit.

“The most important thing is to think about Tunisia’s game now so we will plead to all Ghanaians to keep supporting the team with a positive mindset,” he added.

“My team is prepared both mentally and physically for the game on Monday,” Appiah promised.

“All our mind is on the game against Tunisia because we need to win the game on Monday so that we can think about other opponents,” he acknowledged.

“Every team in the tournament is well prepared and ready to win the trophy so we will not underrate any opponent we meet in the tournament,” Appiah concluded.

Ghana will play Tunisia on Monday at the Ismailia Stadium in the round of 16 at 19h00 GMT.
