Akufo-Addo departs for Korea-Africa summit in Seoul

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of Ghana departed for Seoul, Korea, on Friday (31 May) following an invitation from the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol.

The president leads a Ghanaian delegation to the Korea-Africa Summit from 4 June to 5 June, the Jubilee House had announced.

The delegation accompanying the President includes representatives from the Foreign Ministry, Trade Ministry, and the Presidency, along with Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

During his absence, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will assume presidential duties in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution.
