Police in Bekwai in the Ashanti Region has invited parents of a three-month-old baby for questioning after the little child was found dead Tuesday dawn.
The couple identified as Jones and Ohenewaa is under investigation after the child was found unresponsive with severe knife wounds.
His intestines had gushed out when police officers deployed to the home began a crime scene management.
A machete was also retrieved at the scene.
The incident which occurred at Anwiankwanta in the Bekwai Municipality has left neighbours in shock.
Assemblyman for the area Frank Awuah confirmed the baby’s mother has been granted an enquiry bail while the father remains in custody assisting police investigations.
