Minister of State-designate at the Finance Ministry, Abena Osei Asare, has expressed her unwavering commitment to supporting Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential aspirations in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Appearing before parliament’s vetting committee on Wednesday (15 March) the Atiwa East lawmaker reaffirmed her stance, emphasizing that she would do everything within her power to ensure the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer’s success.
Responding to a question posed by a member of the committee, the MP reiterated her allegiance to the governing party and emphasized her duty to rally behind Dr. Bawumia as its flagbearer.
“I belong to the NPP, and for the NPP, our flagbearer is Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and so I’ll make sure that I do everything possible in my capacity to make him win the elections in 2024,” Osei-Asare declared.
“I have just been voted for as the parliamentary candidate for the Atiwa East constituency. So, whatever I have to do to make sure that I work hard with the good people of Atiwa East sitting right behind me to make sure Dr. Mahammadu Bawumia wins this election, that is my focus,” she added.
