Bad News: Injured Baba Rahman out of Black Stars AFCON qualifier against Madagascar

0

Ghana is hit with bad news as favourite left-back Baba Abdul Rahman is ruled out of the game against Madagascar away from home on June 18.

The Reading FC defender has been ruled out due to a horrible injury getting to the end of the 2022-23 season in the English Championship.

The defender will not feature when Ghana takes on Madagascar in the round of five matches of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

He’s been with the Ghana team for more than half a decade and established himself as one of the most important players for the Stars team.

His spot will be filled by Moldovan powerhouse FC Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo.

The Black Stars Coach has selected a 24-player group for the trip to Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
