Dr. Love Konadu, a renowned journalist, pastor, and philanthropist based in Obuasi, has successfully launched her inspirational book titled “Woman of War.”
The colourful book launch event, which occurred on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Obuasi, attracted a large audience.
The 96-page book celebrates the qualities of a daring, God-fearing, humble, and knowledgeable woman who faced challenges with courage and worked diligently to improve her family and society.
Nana Amoanima Dede II, the Adansihemaa, praised Dr Love Konadu for her outstanding contributions as a journalist, pastor, and philanthropist. She recommended the book to everyone, especially the youth, emphasizing that it addresses a wide range of life’s aspects and conveys essential messages.
Dr. Love Konadu shared that her motivation for writing the book stemmed from her life experiences and the valuable knowledge she acquired along the way, which she believed was worth sharing. The book tackles issues faced by women who may be less adventurous, passive, or irresponsible, encouraging them to take control of their destinies and leave a positive legacy.
Dr. Love Konadu also discussed the concerning incidents of violence against women that have recently dominated the media. She urged women to prioritize their safety, surround themselves with the right people, work hard, and achieve economic independence rather than relying on men.
The philanthropist, who is the President of the Mama Love Foundation, a local NGO, expressed her hope that readers of the book would draw valuable lessons from her life journey as documented in the book.
She believed that the book would empower readers to trust their abilities, unleash their potential, and aspire to achieve greater things, particularly women who should take her story as an example.
