The Ghana Police Service has arrested five persons in connection with the gruesome murder of the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Ekow Quansah Hayford.
Although the police did not give details about the identities of the suspects, this could be a breakthrough that will lead to the arrest of other suspects.
“They[the suspects] are being taken through lawful Police procedures”, the police said on Facebook.
Mr. Hayford, aged 50, was shot by gunmen who stopped his vehicle on the Abeadze-Dominase–Abeadze-Duadzi-Mankessim road while returning from a campaign trip on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
